As an outreach to the youth to help them become responsible global citizens through volunteering on issue-based projects, ADFIAP and AIESEC Miriam College signed a memorandum of agreement on June 30, 2014 at the ADFIAP International Headquarters in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines, to work together on an internship program for international volunteer students.
This global volunteering programme known as the “Global Community Development Programme” is an opportunity for young people to develop entrepreneurial and responsible leadership qualities and skills in which a young volunteer travels across the world to go through a cultural learning experience while working for projects and NGO’s that aim to create positive impact in society based on specific issues such as education, sustainability, community development and related themes.
AIESEC (International Association of Students in Economic and Commercial Sciences) https://www.aiesec.org/ is an international non-profit organization that provides young people with leadership opportunities to develop themselves into global leaders with an urge to make a difference in society. It is being run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education from over 120 countries and territories.
Signing the MOA are Trisha Marie Jao, Nicole Catacutan and Alexandria dela Paz of AIESEC Miriam College and Octavio B. Peralta (Secretary General) and Robert B. Juan (Information Officer) of ADFIAP.
