ADFIAP, Planters Bank launch SME Center Asia

(5)ADFIAP and its Philippine member, Planters Development Bank, represented by Mr. Nihal Fonseka, CEO of DFCC Bank Sri Lanka (current ADFIAP Chairman) and Ambassador Jesus P. Tambunting, Chairman & CEO, respectively, signed a memorandum of understanding on November 12, 2010 at the Planters Bank’s headquarters in Manila to cooperate and collaborate on the implementation of the SME Center Asia and its program and activities. It was also an occasion to formally launch and open the Center for business.

The SME Center Asia is both a brick-and-mortar and virtual support and advocacy facility for small and medium entrepreneurs as well as for SME banks and business development organizations, both local and regional, to service their needs for industry information, economic updates, training and advisory and other services.

Planters Bank the Philippines’ largest private development bank and is nationally acclaimed as the Bank for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
