ADFIAP, Plantersbank hold forum on e-Learning

In its desire to venture into online education for its members, ADFIAP, in cooperation with Planters Development Bank (Plantersbank), conducted a briefing and workshop entitled, “Online Learning: Are we ready for IT?” The event was held on August 31, 2011 at the Plantersbank’s SME Center in Makati City, Philippines. Thirteen (13) human resources managers, training officers and managers from the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), Planters Development Bank, Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), Al Amanah Islamic Investment Bank of the Philippines (AAIIBP), Robinsons Bank and UCPB Savings Bank attended the program.

The event covered the value of an online learning platform for organizations (Session I) and the processes in migrating offline content to an online learning system (Session II). It was also an occasion to exchange ideas on how best to implement the ADFIAP E-Learning platform that it is considering to slowly build up to roll out training modules for its members in the Internet.

Mr. Octavio B. Peralta, ADFIAP Secretary General, formally opened the event, while Mr. Vic Abainza, Unit Training Head of Plantersbank, gave the closing remarks.
