ADFIAP represented in 2nd Integrity Summit Press Briefing

As a signatory to the Integrity Pledge and part of Integrity Consortium (ICON), ADFIAP, represented by ADFIAP Consulting’s Ms. Cora D. Conde, Group Head and Ms .Cecile M. Ibarra, Head of Training and Advocacy, attended the 2nd Integrity Summit press conference on September 11, 2012 held at the Hotel Intercontinental, Manila.

As representative of ADFIAP to ICON, which consists 29 institutions mostly associations and chambers of industry, Ms. Conde was interviewed on ADFIAP’s CSR initiatives and included in the video shoot for promotional materials. A press conference ensued thereafter where briefings on the various activities for the Integrity and Transparency Week (September 17-21, 2012) were presented to the media, followed by a Q& A. Speakers included Mr. Eduardo V. Francisco, President of the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) who gave the opening remarks; Mr. Edward Gacusana, Project Coordinator of the Integrity Initiative who gave an overview of the 2nd Integrity Summit; Ms. Doris Magsaysay Ho, Chairperson of Asia Society Philippines Foundation, Inc. who talked about the Philippine Transparency Forum; Ms. Sherisa Nuesa, Director of the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) who discussed the Judicial Reform Initiative; and Atty. Maricel Marcial-Oquendo, Graft Investigation and Prosecution Officer III of the Office of the Ombudsman who gave a briefing on the APEC Anti-Corruption Code of Conduct Workshop.

The 2nd Integrity Summit, to be held on September 18, 2012 at the Hotel Intercontinental, Manila is being organized by the Integrity Initiative, a private-sector led campaign that aims to promote common ethical standards among various sectors of society. The event will feature presentations from the public and private sectors that have demonstrated how their organizations were able to transcend the culture of corruption. The summit is expected to convene around 500 delegates from the business community, including SMEs, government agencies, NGOs and the academe.
