ADFIAP Secretariat sets plans, activities for 2014

Planning Meeting 2014 Photo FinalThe ADFIAP Secretariat conducted its annual planning meeting on January 16, 2014 at its International Headquarters in Manila, with the theme “Members First”. The Secretariat business units – the Institute of Development Finance (IDF) and the ADFIAP Consulting (AC) Group – together with the support units – Knowledge Management, Membership and Administrative and Finance – as well as three invited resource persons, reviewed ADFIAP’s service offerings to its members and matched them with their needs, brainstormed on new benefits that can be offered, and focused on means to further improve the content, image and service delivery to members.

Among the highlights of the meeting were the planned review and restructuring of the training courses offered by the IDF and the AC, aiming for new and fresh programs as well as focusing on the career development needs of the officers and staff of ADFIAP member-institutions; the proposed “new look” and member-centric publications (the new “Advance” magazine, the ADFIAP Newsletter and the ADFIAP Sustainability Report) as well as website; and the conduct of “KYM” (know your member) sessions to better appreciate the work, advocacies and achievements of all ADFIAP members.

Mr. Orlando P. Pena, former ADFIAP Secretary General, Mr. Vic Avainza, Executive Director, PDB-FMO Development Center of Planters Bank, and Mr. Max Edralin, Jr. Public Relations Consultant of the “Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas” (Central Bank of the Philippines) were the invited resource persons who shared their knowledge and experience to the Secretariat.
