ADFIAP, SERDEF sign MoA to harness synergies in MSME development

IMG_5864ADFIAP and the Small Enterprises Research and Development Foundation of the Philippines, Inc. (SERDEF) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on June 21, 2013 to accelerate the development of entrepreneurial and managerial resources through the conduct of training, research studies and innovative approaches in the development and promotion of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the country and in the Asia Pacific Region.

The MoA will allow both organizations to jointly undertake programs that will benefit from each other’s comparative advantages and experiences as well as to coordinate their efforts to attain more effective sustainable development assistance to MSMEs leading towards access to finance. It will also permit both organizations to collaborate in specialized training and research programs and in mobilizing resources such as financial and technical assistance on projects and programs of common interest.

SERDEF , is a non-stock, non-profit organization in the Philippines involved in projects and training programs that induce the entrepreneurial spirit and enhance entrepreneurial skills of individuals, groups and institutions. SERDEF conducts researches that help improve knowledge on entrepreneurship and provides advisory services to help enterprises enhance their operational efficiency and consequently, their bankability. In its pursuit to become a world-class development organization that helps facilitate the creation of an enterprise culture among individuals, groups organizations and communities, SERDEF pursues a strategy of productive cooperation and linkage with local and international organizations like ADFIAP.

ADFIAP Secretary General, Mr. Octavio B. Peralta, and SERDEF President, Dr. Paterno V. Viloria, signed the agreement witnessed by Mr. Nestor O. Raneses, Executive Director, SERDEF and UP-ISSI and Ms. Corazon D. Conde, Head-ADFIAP Consulting. The ADFIAP Consulting Team and officers of ADFIAP and SERDEF were also present during the signing.
