ADFIAP shares e-learning program at social media for development seminar

CICTOn invitation of the Philippine Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT), ADFIAP, represented by Mr. Enrique Florencio, Head of Knowledge Management and Sustainability Officer, spoke and shared its e-learning portal – the ADFIAP Networking and eXchange (ANEX) – to the 26 delegates from various governments agencies attending the “Social Media for Development” seminar conducted by the National ICT Competency Management Service (NCM) on April 29-30, 2015 at the CICT Headquarters in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Mr. Florencio presented A-NEX as a single point of access and gateway to e-learning resources and community activities to share knowledge and capacity-building programs for ADFIAP members in a cost effective way. In addition, Mr. Florencio also discussed different types of cloud computing and how it can be maximized with the presence of all available social media platforms today.

The seminar was designed to introduce social media, its origin and various applications in the development context and to provide an overview of various forms of social media, how they work, and how other countries are using social media to promote development and examine various policies, programs and application.

The National ICT Competency Management Service (NCM) is the ICT training arm of the Information and Communications Technology Office (ICT Office) and an Academy Partner of the United Nations Asian and Pacific Training Center for Information and Communications Technology for Development (UN-APCICT). Mr. Florencio is a member of the Technical Working Committee of the CICT’s Human Capital Development Group since 2006.
