ADFIAP shares members’ green finance programs in SWITCH Asia HEMS forum

Peralta, presented before an audience of over 80 participants from policy makers, industry stakeholders, bank and non-bank financial institutions the Association’s work and advocacy on green finance as well as its members’ green financing programs during the SWITCH Asia High Efficiency Motors (HEMS) project’s forum on “Addressing Roadblocks in Financing Sugar Mills’ Projects” held at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel on March 11, 2015.

ADFIAP is one of the implementing partners the EU grant-funded HEMS project which is led by the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines (IIEES), Inc. The other partners include the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation, Inc. (ASSIST), Association Action for Sustainable Development, and the International Copper Association of South East Asia (ICASEA).

The HEMS project is a 4-year capacity-building program that aims to increase energy efficiency of the electricity-intensive industries and achieve reduction in electricity consumption and to reduce contribution of industries in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Specifically, the HEMS project aims to increase the deployment of more efficient electric motors and drive systems in Philippine industries.
