ADFIAP speaks to commercial bankers on greenbanking

On invitation by the Asian Bankers Association (ABA), ADFIAP, represented by its Secretary General, Mr. Octavio B. Peralta made a presentation on greenbanking at the 27th ABA General Meeting and Conference
held on November 2, 2010 in Taipei, Taiwan.

The theme of the event which was “Asian Banking: Sustaining Business Recovery amidst a Changing Financial Landscape” covered topics such as regional economic integration and financial inclusion in Asia, the emergence of Chinese banks as global players, greenbanking and others.

Mr. Peralta took the opportunity to present before over a hundred commercial bankers from 25 countries, the ADFIAP members’ green financing programs as well as the Association’s EU-supported environmental governance project www.egs-asia.com and its “Greening of DFIs” initiative.
