Integrity InitiativeAs one of the over 2,000 signatories of the Integrity Pledge of the Integrity Initiative Project, ADFIAP underwent a one-day validation procedure of its Integrity Self-Assessment (ISA) test results conducted on May 16, 2014 by a 7-volunteer-validator team from the Integrity Initiative project.

The initiative, led by the Manila Business Club and the European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ECCP), is part of a 4-year project funded by Siemens that aims to initiate collective action among ethical foreign and local business enterprises that wish to see the creation of fair market conditions for all market participants in the Philippines. Started in December 2010, the project’s ultimate objective is a certification and accreditation system, like the ISO, that will provide competitive advantages to compliant companies. Companies will be audited, accredited, and certified based on compliance to ethical ways of doing business and strict integrity standards.

The validation process involved the review and inspection of ADFIAP’s organizational structure and operations as well as supporting documentation and processes, focusing on areas of top management, HR management, procurement, sales and marketing, finance and logistics. The validators also interviewed key officers of the ADFIAP Secretariat. At the end of the process, the validators met with ADFIAP’s key senior management team and presented the results of the validation process and opportunities for improvements.
