The Small Business Credit Guarantee Corporation (SBCG) www.sbcg.or.th/ is a state-owned specialized financial institution based in Bangkok operating under the supervision of the Thai Ministry of Finance. SBCG was established to provide support to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through guarantee and other credit enhancement measures to SMEs that have growth potential but lack collateral to access finance from banks and other financial institutions and, at the same time, increase the financial institutions’ confidence to extend and expand credit allocation to the sector. SBCG;s operation not only help boost SMEs’ capability in business and investment expansion but also encourage the emergence of new entrants, hence contributing to the country’s economic development.
ICRA Limited (formerly Investment Information and Credit Rating Agency of India Limited www.icra.in was set up in 1991 by leading financial/investments institutions, commercial banks and financial services companies as an independent and professional investment information and credit rating agency. The international credit rating agency, Moody’s Investors Service, is ICRA’s largest shareholder. The participation of Moody’s is supported by a technical services agreement which entails Moody’s providing certain high-value technical services to ICRA. Specifically, the agreement is aimed at benefiting ICRA’s in-house research capabilities and providing it with access to Moody’s global research base. Today, ICRA and its subsidiaries together form the ICRA Group of Companies (Group ICRA). ICRA is a public limited company with shares listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange.
