ADFIAP’s professional training and career center, the Asia-Pacific Institute of Development Finance (IDF), conducted a free webinar on “Change Leadership for Growth” on January 12, 2021.

The webinar is part of a series of online learning sessions that IDF is rolling out this year for ADFIAP members and development partners with the aim of providing participants with insights from fellow development finance professionals as well as to update them on current trends and practical tools to further improve their work.

The thirty two (32) webinar attendees consisted of C-suite executives, senior officers and managers in charge of their organization and human resource development strategy and execution from development finance institutions, microfinance institutions, international development institutions and consulting companies from India, Malaysia, Mongolia, Federated States of Micronesia, Nepal, Tuvalu, Samoa and the Philippines.

The resource speaker was Efren Elane, a seasoned chief human resource officer and a change coach who leads teams and coaches team leaders in creating new business opportunities to increase revenues, profits, and ROAs, through their people and organization. Among the topics covered were: (1) derailers and strengths; (2) transformative conversations; (3) strategies at transformative conversations; ACE IT: personal and professional engagement; PIVOT: team engagement; I LEAD: change leadership for growth engagement. The webinar received a very satisfactory review.

A full blown seminar-workshop on the subject will be held on February 16-20, 2021.  For inquiries on the program and how ADFIAP can help through training and consulting services, please email at
