IDF, FINEX Foundation sign MoA on Training Initiatives

ADFIAP’s Asia-Pacific Institute of Development Finance (IDF) and the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines’ Research and Development Foundation, Inc. (FINEX Foundation) sign on February 17, 2010 during its general monthly meeting at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to jointly develop and implement training and capacity-building programs on sustainable development issues such as, but not limited to, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) development, environmental and corporate governance as well as other relevant topics. Both will also develop and promote training and credentialing programs to enhance the professional and institutional capability of their members and other institutions that share the same objectives. The MoA also provides for facilitation of interaction between respective members to encourage strategic alliances and business networking as well as explore other areas of cooperation such as information exchange, publications, research and studies and other appropriate endeavors.

The first envisioned joint project is a conference cum training program on SME development and finance to be held during the FINEX’s “SME Day” in July 2010. The Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) is a non-stock, non-profit, non-political association that was formally organized on January 15, 1968. Through the years, FINEX has undertaken foundation and activities geared towards the fulfillment of continuously providing its members the latest concepts, programs and policies of business finance and management through its various services.
