IDF runs 7th FEAIP training course in Manila

7th FEAIPThe 7th run of the “International-Workshop on Financial and Economic Appraisal of Investment Projects” (FEAIP) of ADFIAP’s Institute of Development Finance (IDF) was successfully completed from March 11-22, 2013 in Manila, Philippines, with ten (10) participants from ADFIAP members in Russia, Oman, Fiji, Bhutan, and the Philippines attending the program.

The aim of the program was to provide the necessary knowledge and skills in the appraisal of financial and economic feasibilities of investment projects from the point of view of a development bank. It also covered the different aspects of an investment design and how the financial economic aspects fit into the overall investment plan submitted by a borrower-client. In addition, differences in the appraisal techniques used for purely private-oriented investments and development projects were discussed in the course. Apart from in-depth classroom lectures and discussions, the seminar also provided for educational visits to the Land Bank of the Philippines and the Philippine Export-Import Credit Agency as well as social and cultural activities within Metro Manila.

ADFIAP Secretary General, Mr. Octavio B. Peralta, welcomed the participants and updated them on the current activities of the Association and its services to members. Dr. Alberto D. Pena, Associate Professor at the Illinois State University, U.S.A. was the main resource person of the training program
