Philippine-based Small Business Corporation (SB Corporation) has rejoined ADFIAP. It first became a member of ADFIAP in 1997 when it was called Small Business Guarantee and Finance Corporation (SBGFC) and then became inactive in 2000. In November 2001, SB Corporation was formed with the merger of SBGFC and the Guarantee Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises (GFSME). It is now the Philippine government’s third largest provider of small and medium enterprise (SME) financing, with a lending portfolio of over P3 Billion, over 10,000 clients, 150 partner-financial institutions and serving 65 of the 81 provinces across the country. It has 4 area offices and 9 desk offices set across the main islands of Luzon, Mindanao and the Visayas.

SB Corporation joins same-purposed member-institutions in ADFIAP such as India’s Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGFTMSE); Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad and Thai Credit Guarantee Corporation, among others.

Dr. Ramon M. Quesada is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SB Corporation.
