4th Study Tour Program on MSME

The program aims:

1) To expose participants to best practices on Microfinance and SME Finance through institutional visits to various Microfinance and SME major players which include policy-making bodies and conduits of wholesale and retail Microfinance and SME funds;

2) To deepen the participants’ knowledge and understanding of Microfinance and SME operations through field visits to Microfinance/SME centers; and,

3) To provide a platform for exchanging views and ideas among participants leading to a fuller understanding of the significant roles financial institutions play in the promotion of Microfinance/SME Finance in their respective countries.

Participants visited the following institutions:

2. Development Bank of the Philippines (Government Financial Institution)
3. People’s Credit and Finance Corporation (Government Financial Institution)
4. Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (Policy Making Body)
5. National Credit Council (Policy Making Body)
6. CARD-MRI Center in Laguna (Center Meeting)
7. Ahon sa Hirap, an NGO (Center Meeting)
8. Asian Development Bank (Multilateral Institution)
9. Cultural Site: Taal Volcano (Tagaytay) and around Metro Manila for City Tour
