JERI supports climate change countermeasures

Japan Economic Research Institute, Inc. (JERI) supports efforts of developing countries and those in the process of transition to market economy in the context of countermeasures for the current global climate change based on its study on environmental policy and related financial measures introduced by Japanese government to cope with the oil crisis and pollution problems since the 1970s. Some of the projects supported by the JERI included: Basic Study of Energy Efficiency/Conservation and Renewable Energy Project for the Republic of Turkey; Preparatory Study for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Project for India; Fact-Finding Study Project on Energy Conservation in Industrial Sector in the Arab Republic of Egypt; Special Assistance for the Project Implementation for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Promoting Project in Vietnam; and Training Course for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development & Energy Finance in India.
