TDB offers students scholarship program

The Tonga Development Bank (TDB) offers more than 40 scholarships annually at approximately $30,000 to students at 10 various vocational and selected tertiary institutions, both managed by government and private as well. This scheme started in 2003, commemorating the Bank’s 25 years of serving the people of Tonga. The beneficiaries of this program were: ‘Ahopanilolo Technical Institute, Montfort Technical Institute, Queen Salote College – Catering and Hospitality, St Joseph’s Business College, Tonga Institute of Higher Education, Tonga Institute of Science and Technology and Tupou Tertiary Institute.  Other beneficiaries are: The Hango Agricultural College in ‘Eua and Pouono Campus of Tupou Tertiary Institute, Mailefihi Siu’ilikutapu College, in Vava’u. For the first time ever, Tupou College was awarded with these study awards this year. There were a total of 12 recipients from Tupou College.
