ADFIAP speaks at DBP Development Forum

DBP_ObpOn invitation of the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), ADFIAP, represented by its Secretary General, Mr. Octavio B. Peralta, presented on December 3, 2104 to the Bank’s Board of Directors, senior management and members of its Multi Sectoral Governance Coalition, a paper on “DFI Trends & Best Practices” based on the experience of the Association and its members in Asia and the Pacific. The event, held at the DBP “Bulwagan ng Diwang Pilipino” Hall, was its “Development Forum” attended by about a hundred participants, including senior officers of the Bank from their branches and regional offices throughout the country. The Forum, held regularly by the Bank, affords DBP to know what is out there in terms of benchmarks and good operational practices and is an integral part of the Bank’s planning process.

In the same Forum, Mr. Vaughn F. Montes, a member of the DBP Board of Directors, presented a paper on “DBP’s Current Priorities”. A panel of three reactors composed of two senior officers of the Bank – Mr. Benel D. Lagua, Executive Vice President and Head of the Development Group and Ms. Marietta M. Fondevilla, Senior Management and Head of the Strategic Planning and Research Department – and Mr. Christian P. Zaens, Executive Director of the Institute of Solidarity Asia, provided additional inputs on the two papers presented.

DBP President, Mr. Gil A. Buenaventura and Chairman Jose A. Nunez, Jr. gave the opening and closing remarks, respectively.
