ADFIAP speaks at the 4th SWITCH-Asia Annual Conference

ADFIAP, represented by its Senior Consultant for SME/Rural Enterprise and Sustainable Finance Development Mr. Victor C. Abainza, spoke in two (2) workshop sessions conducted during the 4th SWITCH-Asia Annual Event last Sept 22-23, 2022 at Conrad Bangkok Hotel.

The Event brought together 150 representatives from ongoing grant-funded projects in several countries in the region, as well as representatives of the EU Delegations in Asia and Central Asia, SWITCH-Asia National Focal Points within ministries of the 24 eligible countries, and selected regional organizations, partners and experts working in the field of Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP).

The SWITCH Asia SCP Facility works through its grants scheme and funds pilot projects helping companies to adopt cleaner technologies and more sustainable industrial practices as well as helping consumers to act more responsibly in their daily choices and lifestyles. The ADFIAP was a recipient of this grant scheme in 2016-2019 for the ACMFN Project (“Promotion and Establishment of an Asian Cleantech MSME Financing Network.”), and together with adelphi Research (Germany), implemented the four-year project in three (3) countries in India, Indonesia and China. Mr. Abainza, together with Ms. Corazon D. Conde, served as Senior Project manager of the ACMFN.

This gathering offered various opportunities to connect with a large spectrum of stakeholders, policymakers as well as project implementers, and get interesting information for stories on ways and means for promoting SCP on the transition to a green economy and sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific.
