AC unveils SME Access to Finance tool to bankers, policymakers

The ADFIAP Consulting (AC) team, represented by its Group Head, Ms. Cora Conde, presented the AC SME Lending Business Management System (BMS) to a group of 30 bankers and policymakers during a banking forum at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (Central Bank of the Philippines) on September 23, 2010.

The SME Lending BMS, an integrated tool for banks and other financial institutions that wish to start or enhance their existing SME lending operations, offers three standalone modules – from strategic business planning to core lending processes and technology to systems sustenance and support. The tool is in response to the perennial issue of access to finance by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through a management process that allows banks to appreciate SME lending as a “blue ocean” and better assess and mitigate risks and uncertainties usually associated with lending to the sector.

The bank forum is part of a  series  of programs and activities under the tripartite partnership of ADFIAP, the Financial Executives (FINEX) foundation and Eastern Communications to provide solutions and bridge the gap in SME lending.
