ADFIAP 47th Annual Meetings to take place in Cambodia

The Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) is gearing up for its 47th Annual Meetings, set to take place in Cambodia. The Agricultural and Rural Development Bank of Cambodia (ARDB), a state-owned institution, will host the event where delegates from around 40 countries will be gathering to share their knowledge and expertise.

H.E. Kao Thach, CEO of ARDB, was recently appointed 2nd Vice-Chairman of the ADFIAP Board of Directors during the 46th edition of the event in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Dr. Thach confirmed that the ARDB will host the 47th edition of the annual meetings next year, presenting Cambodia with an excellent opportunity to strengthen its diplomatic ties with approximately 40 ADFIAP member states while benefiting from the knowledge and experiences shared by participating institutions.

The ADFIAP has more than 90 member development financing institutions (DFI) from approximately 40 countries. Among these esteemed members is the ARDB, which joined in 2005. DFIs play a crucial role in financing national or regional priority development projects by bridging funding gaps left by conventional private lenders. In addition to their financial roles, these institutions act as initiators, institution builders, catalysts, and banks of last resort for specific development areas, as highlighted by the ARDB.
