ADFIAP hosted the Board of Directors meeting of the Pacific Islands Development Bank (PIDB) at its headquarters in Makati City on October 12, 2010 as well as provided them with logistical assistance for their other visits and meetings while in Manila. 

During the meeting at ADFIAP, the eight-man PIDB Board also met with the ADFIAP Consulting (AC) group which gave them a presentation on the strategies and techniques in sourcing funds from international bilateral and multilateral financial organizations. AC group head, Ms. Corazon Conde, made the presentation. 

The PIDB Board also visited the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) where they were briefed by Mr. Ignacio Serrano, Vice President and Head of Fund Sourcing on the Bank’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) funds. 

The PIDB is a regional development finance institution established to assist member countries in accelerating their economic and social development through its lending and other programs. PIDB’s current members include the Island of Guam, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Republic of Palau, and the FSM States of Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei, and Yap.
