ADFIAP Secretary-General, Enrique Florencio, joins fellow Secretaries-General at the Board of Governors Meeting of the World Federation of Development Financing Institutions (WFDFI) on Thursday, January 12, 2023, via zoom to discuss the work and advocacies of the different regional DFI associations around the world and serve as a platform for information and knowledge exchange as well as its involvement to the Finance in Common Summit 2023.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Edgardo Alvarez, ALIDE & WFDFI Secretary General. Mr. Rémy Rioux and Mr. Adama Mariko from the FiCS Secretariat joined the meeting and discussed the FiCS 2023 draft roadmap, identify the main milestones from a regional perspective, and set a common goal that the FiCS 2023 Summit to reach and implement and discussed the possible involvement of WFDFI members.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Cyril Okoye Secretary-General of the African Association of DFIs, Mr. Edgardo Alvarez, Secretary-General of the Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions ( ALIDE ); Mr.Enrique Florencio, Secretary-General of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP); and Mr. Laurent Zylberberg, President of the European Association of Long-Term Investors (ELTI).

The WFDFI was founded in Zurich in June 1979 at a UNIDO development bank conference by AADFI, ADFIAP, ALIDE, and KfW of Germany to serve as a forum for the regional DFI associations to exchange experiences and best practices and to serve as a focal point for DFIs around the world.
