ADFIAP networks with Associations at IMEX Europe

As an invited hosted buyer, ADFIAP participated and made presentations at the 10th IMEX Association Day and Worldwide Exhibition for the MICE industry (meetings, incentives, conferences and events) held from May 21-24, 2012 in Frankfurt, Germany.

IMEX Europe is a major yearly networking event bringing associations together to share best practices, introduce innovative ideas, and provide encouragement and inspiration towards the attainment of their respective goals. It is also a venue for exhibitors representing national and regional tourist offices, major hotel groups, airlines, destination management companies, and service providers, to showcase products and services that cater to the various requirements of associations.

Over 300 association executives from Europe, North America, South America and Asia attended the 4-day power-packed professional development and networking event which featured 140 new interactive educational tracks for association executives, among others, were: “Sustainability as a Driver for Successful Associations”; “Evolving Association Membership Models”; “Collaborative Curation”; “Online Learning”; “Entering New Markets: China-the Keys to Success”; “Designing Better Congress Decision-Making Processes”; “Generating New Revenues: What’s Working and Why”; “The Future of Associations and Corporate Meetings”; “The Business Case for Implementing Sustainability”; “Key Roles of Associations in Society”; “Women’s Leadership Forum”; and “Mobile Trends and Development Impacting Meetings and Events”.

ADFIAP Consulting Head, Ms. Corazon Conde, who represented ADFIAP in the IMEX event, was a speaker/panelist for two sessions, covering the topics “Generating New Revenues: What’s Working and Why” and “Equal Pay for Equal Work and Overall Negotiation Skills” under the “Women’s Leadership Forum”. ADFIAP’s participation in IMEX was through the courtesy of Ms. Susan Sarfati and Ms. Liz Jackson, CEO of High Performance Strategies, LLC and President of Jackson Consulting, Inc., respectively, both based in Washington, D.C., USA.
