Upon the request of the Bhutan Development Bank (BDBL), ADFIAP has organized a multi-country study mission program that will allow BDBL officers and staff to learn from fellow ADFIAP member-financial institutions in the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand.

For the Philippine leg, an 8-person delegation visited first the ADFIAP Secretariat in Makati City, Metro Manila where they were briefed by Ms. Sandra Honrado, ADFIAP Sr. Executive for Programs, and Ms. Cora Conde, Head of the ADFIAP Consulting (AC), on the program offerings of the Institute of Development Finance (IDF) and on the financial inclusion programs of the Association, respectively.

The delegation then visited the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) where they were received and briefed by the DBP officers on the Bank’s micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) operations. The delegation’s next country destinations include Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand where they would be received by the SME Bank Malaysia, AFC Merchant Bank (Singapore) and SME Bank of Thailand, respectively. Another set of delegates will cover the Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia.

The ADFIAP Secretariat is equipped with necessary skills and contacts to help its members in their request for institutional and country visits in different parts of the world. For such requests, please email the ADFIAP Secretariat at [email protected].
