The ADFIAP Board of Directors, in its 74th Meeting on December 6, 2011 held in Thimpu, Bhutan, has elected Datuk Wan Azhar Bin Wan Ahmad, Managing Director of the Credit Guarantee Corporation (CGC) Malaysia Berhad, as new ADFIAP Vice Chairman.

Datuk Wan Azhar rose from the ranks since he joined the CGC in 1993 as Manager. He was promoted Assistant General Manager in 1995 and further promoted to Chief Executive Officer in 1997. In 2000, he was appointed to the Board of Directors as Managing Director of the Corporation.

Datuk Wan Azhar also holds directorship and membership with the following organizations: Credit Bureau Malaysia (Board Member & Chairman); UK-based equity funding institution (Board Member); Aureos CGC Advisers; Small Debt Resolution Committee (Member); Association of Development Finance Institutions of Malaysia (Council Member); and ADFIAP (Board Member, prior to his election as ADFIAP Vice Chairman).
