IDF conducts webinar on sustainability reporting, SDGs

The Asia-Pacific Institute of Development Finance (IDF), ADFIAP’s professional training and career development center, conducted a deep-dive webinar on “Sustainability Reporting:  Embedding Sustainability into your Corporate DNA” on June 1-4, 2021. Top-level officers and managers of ADFIAP member-banks from Malaysia, Federated States of Micronesia Development Bank, and the Philippines attended the program.

The program is part of a series of online learning sessions for ADFIAP members and development partners with the aim of providing participants with insights from fellow development finance professionals as well as to update them on current trends and practical tools to further improve their work.

The resource person, Enrique I. Florencio, ADFIAP Group Head for Operations and Sustainability, is a sustainability management and reporting practitioner who has also skills in corporate social responsibility, business planning, information technology and project management, with GRI and Accountability 1000 certifications.

The innovative and results-oriented program enabled the participants to complete, within the 4-day training period, a principle-based sustainability reporting plan aligned with the UN Global Compact Principles and SDGs that can be adopted as a new form of communicating with stakeholders, funders, and other interested parties  the performance impact on economic, environment, social, and governance (EESG).
