ADFIAP members speak at the Global DFI Forum, Malaysia

On November 3 and 4, several ADFIAP members spoke at the Global DFI Forum in Malaysia. This year’s theme was “Towards a Resilient Planet: Ensuring a Sustainable and Equitable Future,” with the goal of working together to address pressing issues that are expected to worsen over the next ten years, changing the role of development finance institutions and increasing their influence in providing solutions to problems.

Among the panelists were Zakiah Mat Esa, Head of Sustainability and Strategic Management at SME Bank Malaysia (SME Bank), and Dr. Jaime B. Alip, Chairman of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD-MRI). Both spoke at the “Youth Unite for a Safe and Secure Environment for All” and “Youth Unite for a Safe and Secure Environment for All” forums.

Elcid Pangilinan, Senior Vice President and Head of the Strategy and Knowledge Management Group at the Land Bank of the Philippines, took part in a panel discussion on Transforming Agriculture Innovation Systems for People, Nature, and Climate, while Mohamad Taufik Mahamad Zakaria, Chief Strategy Officer at Agrobank, took part in a panel discussion on Preparing Rural Development for a Sustainable Future.

Matautia Rula Levi, Chief Executive Officer of Samoa Housing Corporation, moderated the Women on the Rise: Gender Equity as a Business Imperative forum, and panelist Azlina Juliani Abdul Jalil, Chief Operating Officer at PERNAS.
