ADFIAP and ARDB Bank gear up for the 47th Annual Meetings with a focus on Climate-Smart and Sustainable Future

The Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) and the Agriculture and Rural Development Bank (ARDB Bank) have officially begun preparations for the highly anticipated 47th Annual Meetings. Set against the backdrop of a rapidly changing global climate landscape, this year’s theme, “DFIs Role in Sustainable Finance Ecosystem: Cultivating a Climate-Smart and Sustainable Future,” underscores the pivotal role that Development Financing Institutions (DFIs) play in fostering environmental responsibility and long-term financial stability.

The Annual Meetings, scheduled to take place on May 15-17, 2024, at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, will bring together key DFI executives, stakeholders, thought leaders and experts from the development finance industry to deliberate on pressing issues and explore innovative solutions in the realm of sustainable finance.

“As we stand on the cusp of significant global climate changes, it is imperative that DFIs take a proactive stance in shaping a sustainable financial ecosystem. The 47th Annual Meetings aim to facilitate meaningful discussions on how DFIs can contribute to a climate-smart and sustainable future,” remarked Enrique I. Florencio, ADFIAP Secretary General.

The conference will feature a series of keynote addresses, panel discussions, and interactive sessions covering a broad spectrum of topics, including green finance, climate risk management, and fintech innovations.
