ADB has approved a USD $20 million loan for the Cook Islands to support the country’s health services sector, and to help the government’s economic response with the closure of its borders. The loan will cover employment support payments to keep workers employed; one-off cash payments for families, the elderly, caregivers, and infirmed; on-going interest and credit relief for households and businesses; and business grants.
