To nurture its objective of becoming the employer of choice and the preferred organization for talented and capable development bankers, SME Bank Malaysia has developed the “Employee Capability Building Program”, a holistic approach in providing right development programs and interventions to strengthening the Bank’s reputation as the benchmark for development bankers.
This program consisted of series of training programs such as Bankers Conditioning Program, Bankers Acceleration Program, Employee Education Assistance Program, and Career Management Programs and Overseas Training Program which are all designed to meet the required capacity and capability of a development banker and also to effectively manage the career of the Bank’s employees throughout their employment with the Bank.
The training modules designed for this program are recognized by the industry accreditation body – Finance Accreditation Agency, Central Bank of Malaysia – supported by internal subject matter experts involvement in developing highly-competent development bankers. The program not only provides the Bank with competent bankers, but also indirectly assists the nation in the development of SMEs in the country.
The “Employee Capability Building Program” won the 2017 ADFIAP Outstanding Development Project Merit Award under the Human Development Category.
